FBA Championship Game Day

The Florida Basketball Association will hold it’s 2013 Championship game tonight in Tampa, Florida.

The game will be a repeat of the FBA’s inaugural season, pitting the 2012 Defending Champion Tampa Bay Rebels against the visiting and 2nd seeded Heartland Prowl, hailing from Lake Wales, Florida.

The Rebels are led by Corey Lemons, a 4 time winner of FBA Player of the Week Honors. Lemons is averaging 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 3.7 steals per game this season. An alum Cabrini College (NCAA III), Lemons has proven to be a brilliant pick-up for the Rebels at just 5’10”.

The Prowl are led by Arnold Louis, fresh off a 4 year collegiate career at Savannah State University (NCAA I). Louis contributed 24.9 points, 10.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.9 blocks per game for the Prowl this season.

Tonight’s game will be held at Freedom High School in Tampa, Florida, home court of the Rebels, who locked up home court advantage by finishing first in the FBA this season with a record of 10-2. The Prowl, who finished 9-3 on the year, owe all of their losses to the Rebels this season, who defeated the Prowl 3 out of their 4 match-ups this year.
